Instructions

Sterilise your menstrual cup or disc after each menstrual cycle.

1. Wash your cup or disc with mild soap and water before sterilising.
2. Add approximately 30ml of water to the steriliser. Do not exceed the maximum line indicator located inside the steriliser.
3. Place your cup or disc in the steriliser. For cups, place them upside down with the rim at the bottom. For discs, squeeze the sides together to create an elongated shape and place the disc vertically into the steriliser.
4. Close the lid firmly. The vent in the lid will allow steam to escape.
5. Microwave on high for 1–2 minutes. Times may vary depending on your microwave. As a guide, use approximately 1 minute for 1100–1250W microwaves and approximately 2 minutes for 800–1000W microwaves. Steam venting from the lid indicates that the water has reached boiling point.
6. Let the steriliser cool for 10 minutes before opening. WARNING: Steam can cause burns. Do not handle until cool.
7. Remove and dry the cup with clean hands, or store it in a breathable pouch.
