The Hello Cup Low Cervix is a game changer in period care for those who have a shorter vaginal canal. This model comes without a toggle or stem which can protrude or is often trimmed off if you have a low cervix. The base is rounded for comfort and thicker to allow for easy removal.

It holds up to 3 times the volume of a tampon, lasts for years, saves you money, is environmentally friendly and comfortable.

The Hello Cup is designed and manufactured in New Zealand using high-quality TPE from Germany. Coloured using certified food grade dyes that comply with EU and FDA standards and are free from rubber, latex, BPA, heavy metals and other nasties.

TPE was used to make the Hello Cup as it means that the menstrual cup is fully recyclable at the end of its life. It is comfortable, soft to the touch and hypoallergenic, making it perfect for anyone with silicone sensitivities.

Why We Love It: It's one of the few cups purposely made for a low cervix. The stemless design and shortened length sit comfortably in a shorter vaginal canal and the smooth rounded base prevents skin irritation from a protruding stem or stem which has been trimmed.

Cleaning & Care

How to Clean a Menstrual Cup at Home

Before first use

You will need to sterilise your menstrual cup before you use it for the first time.

Cleaning your menstrual cup during your period

After removal, empty the contents into the toilet and rinse with cold water. This helps to prevent stains from setting in.

Clean the menstrual cup with a small blob of menstrual cup wash, rinse, pat dry and reinsert. Alternatively, you can also use a mild soap. Ensure the cup is thoroughly rinsed to remove any soap residue before reinserting.

For extra protection, spray it with Hello Go before allowing it to dry and then reinsert it. A single application of Hello Go every 24 hours forms an invisible shield to bacteria that is bound to the surface and doesn't leach into the vagina.

How to Clean a Menstrual Cup in Public

If there is no sink or tap around, for example, if you are in a cubicle, it is fine to wipe it out with toilet paper and then reinsert your cup. Then, when you do have a tap, follow the steps above.

Sterilising Your Menstrual Cup at The End of Your Period

You will need to sterilise your Hello Cup at the end of your period before using it again the next cycle. To do this, wash with a menstrual cup wash such as Hello Wash or a mild soap and then sterilise it before storing it in the storage pouch supplied with your cup.

How long to boil a menstrual cup? To sterilise, place your menstrual cup in a full pot of water and boil for at least 3 minutes. Use a timer to ensure it doesn't boil dry.

You can also soak your menstrual cup for 15 minutes in a glass of cold water containing 1/4 sterilising tablet (Milton is the most common brand available in most Australasian supermarkets and pharmacies). Do not leave your cup soaking for longer than 15 minutes, as this may cause damage.

Ensure your Hello Cup is completely dry before storing it. Store it in a dry place out of direct sunlight.

Detailed cleaning instructions and a user guide are included in the packaging.
